I love music.
A lot.
I'm Tendai Mudyiwa, a product manager, engineer, and writer working where technology, music, creativity, and business meet. This site is home to my essays, music-tech pieces, and curated playlists.
I'm drawn to how ideas travel across disciplines, cultures, and creative boundaries, and how technology and creativity shape one another. Music is where I see that most clearly, and it's the lens I keep coming back to.
Since 2025, I've been a product manager at TicketSwap, helping event organisers thrive in live events. I approach the work from first principles, starting with why and making sure we're solving the right problems.
I studied mathematics and computer science, then spent four years as a backend engineer, starting at Morgan Stanley in New York. Having lived and worked across four continents, in Zimbabwe, the US, Hong Kong, and the Netherlands, I've learned to move comfortably between cultures, adapt quickly, and connect with people wherever I land.
Outside of work, I've been a street photographer for more than a decade and a self-taught guitarist for three years, now learning lead with classic rock like Deep Purple and Iron Maiden. I also dance Cuban salsa, and my playlists run from Brazilian funk and MPB to hip hop, amapiano, and alternative.
In 2011, I spent my summer-job money on my first iPod, and every one I've owned since has carried the same engraving: "I love music, that is all." Apple doesn't make them anymore, but it's still true.
Speaking & writing: I'm available for talks, panels, and podcasts on music, technology, and live events, and for writing on the same topics. Get in touch →
